IR-Married Son of Senator John McCain Speaks Out re Old Navy Ad & My DNA Tracking Results

IR-Married Son of Senator John McCain Speaks Out re Old Navy Ad & My DNA Tracking Results

Thanks, so much CH for sending me this ARTICLE link!  I’m sure that you, as a white man who appreciates black women, are happy to see prominent white men speaking out about this nonsense.

To those who may not be aware, recently, there was an (see pic) Old Navy Ad, featuring a Wm-Bw couple with their biracial son posted on Twitter that received  many ignorant racist tweets. Some of us know that the son of Senator John McCain (candidate for the Presidency in 2008) is married to a black woman. I posted pics and their marriage announcement article here on the Ezine a couple of years ago.

Anyway, here’s an ARTICLE from The Washington Post about the Senator’s son’s reaction to that Twitter brouhaha.

Therefore the senator’s son, who is married to a black woman, has no patience for critics of the clothing company’s ad. .  .  . Sen. John McCain’s son, Jack, had a blunt assessment of the people criticizing an Old Navy ad featuring an interracial couple: “Ignorant racists.” [He told them to] “Eat it.”

Okay, I scanned just a few of the tweets,  and it was the usual garden variety vitriol from bottom-of-the-food-chain white racists, but what made me just move on with a quickness were the ones from blacks. Some of them hotly stated [Read more…]

New Mommy Tyra Banks! The Gritty Slice & Nuances of “I Want a Man on My Level” & Other Wordings

Tyra and ErikI was thrilled to read this morning that Tyra Banks and her long-term boyfriend, Erik Asla (Norwegian photographer) are the new parents of a baby boy via a surrogate mother!! ARTICLE  I was sad for Tyra last year when I read that she so passionately wanted to have children but was unable to conceive. At 41 then, her biological clock was taking its last gasps. She was undergoing the IVF treatments that she described as ‘traumatic.’

Well, this is an example of how money CAN actually buy life. LOL!  Women with her resources can pay another woman to carry their fertilized egg. But hey, being a surrogate mom has become a lucrative new profession for some women. This is a win-win situation. This is a profession that even some older women can engage in because under the right circumstances, a healthy enough older woman (I’ve read of a few cases of women in their sixties doing this!!) can carry a fertilized egg and birth the child of a younger woman whose body is impaired in some way.  I tell ya: A woman’s body is a magnificent creation! LOL!

As a marriage advocate, [Read more…]

Jim Crow Against Unambiguously Black Women. When Will Bw Take a Stand And Defend THEIR Interests?

Partygoers

UPDATE: Sept. 30, 2015

I initially wrote this post yesterday, but I’ve read on a few other sites where commenters are blaming these unambiguously  black women for this club discriminating against them since they allowed their pics to be taken.

SMH–Folks always find a way to blame bw!

The fact is that we live in a time in the West where many people of all groups have slackened standards or none at all. Security is also an issue.

As a result, photos are required in more businesses and workplaces.  Let’s not get confused. The problem was NOT that the photos were taken; the problem was the PURPOSE of the photos. They were used to discriminate against those ‘unambiguously black women.’ For those who don’t know the term: An ‘unambiguously black woman’ is a woman whose complexion and/or facial features, [Read more…]

Marriage: A High-Value Cultural Practice

Burke-harrisMr. & Mrs. Harris

NYT Marriage Announcement

Mrs. Harris TED Talking  Just great!

For those who’ve wondered where I am and were considerate to write to inquire, I’ve been on vacation. I’ve been happily relaxing, working on my various crafts (like learning how to become proficient on my different knitting machines), and frolicking with my  granddaughter–that is,  whenever I dared to leave the house during these past frigid months to spend time with her. But finally, the thaw is on, for good, and that really lifts my spirits.  I can’t wait to spend more time with her during the upcoming dreamy, warm spring weather. I already pulled out my roller blades and asked Darren to put air in my bike tires. I’ve scoured the internet for a bike for her, but I may have to get her a  cart to hook onto my bike since she’s still months away from being 2 years old–and unable to ride a bike.

Darren? Well, he’s been anxious to plant potatoes but the ground is still frozen. So, that couldn’t happen in mid March as it usually does. Other than that, he’s winding down more and more on the number of hours he spends at work. I’m happy that he enjoys his job, but I think he wants to do something else now. We gave up our Philly apartment since we’ were rarely there any more. I haven’t even been to Philly since last July and he was only staying there a couple of nights a week, so it was really not a good use of the money.

Thanks CH for this pic of this young army family.

HeartsapartpicAnyway, I’ve been keeping an eye on certain events in the news (SMH), tracking certain trends, and thinking more about the direction I will take with my writing and online presence.

One thing I will comment on is that new FOX series starring Taraji Henson that’s creating so much hoopla because some critics say that all of the major stereotypical black characters are front and center in it. I haven’t seen it and would never watch it even if I could find the FOX network on my TV. LOL   I also read where the show’s black defenders are claiming that black critics should be quiet so that at least black actors can get roles in that show and black viewers can see people who look like them on screen–even when they’re spreading poisonous images of blacks. SMH!

Well! That exactly the exact SAME argument used by some blacks to defend the performers and purveyors of violent, [Read more…]

“As a small child growing up in the oftimes dreary world that is Detroit, never in young Monica’s wildest dreams did she imagine that she would be given a royal title, not to mention be a dazzling doyenne of Hollywood, Palm Springs and Europe.

As a youngster, Monica’s family moved from Detroit to Los Angeles where she studied dance and modeled for Yves St. Laurent and Dior which took her to Europe in her teens. Her beauty and poise granted her access to circles which included Sonny Bono, who introduced her to Austrian Baron John von Neumann — the first importer of Volkswagens to the U.S. and son of the doctor to the King of England and Spain.

After a few years, Monica went to a Swiss finishing school under the tutledge of Baroness Heidi von Salvisburg of Vienna and again ran into Baron von Neumann. The two fell in love, were married where she gained her title, ‘Baroness’ and eventually had a daughter. [Read more…]

Marriage and the Supreme Value of the Female Card

J & B – Engaged to be married in Dec. 2012  They met on Match.com. He was about to give up when he met her. LOL!

Thanks, Felicia for this set of 3 pics in an intriguing article that I will post the link to when I post the last pic.

However, in my quest to find out why the female card is not of more use to some women–who want to get married– I came across THIS.

Just WOW!

Just to be clear, I hope no one thinks I’m talking about the mechanics of sex when I mention the female card. Not at all. I’ll begin to spell it out and elaborate in the series of expanded ‘teaching articles’ and podcast I’m doing about the supreme value of the female card.
