IR-Married Son of Senator John McCain Speaks Out re Old Navy Ad & My DNA Tracking Results

Thanks, so much CH for sending me this ARTICLE link! I’m sure that you, as a white man who appreciates black women, are happy to see prominent white men speaking out about this nonsense.

To those who may not be aware, recently, there was an (see pic) Old Navy Ad, featuring a Wm-Bw couple with their biracial son posted on Twitter that received many ignorant racist tweets. Some of us know that the son of Senator John McCain (candidate for the Presidency in 2008) is married to a black woman. I posted pics and their marriage announcement article here on the Ezine a couple of years ago.

Anyway, here’s an ARTICLE from The Washington Post about the Senator’s son’s reaction to that Twitter brouhaha.

Therefore the senator’s son, who is married to a black woman, has no patience for critics of the clothing company’s ad. . . . Sen. John McCain’s son, Jack, had a blunt assessment of the people criticizing an Old Navy ad featuring an interracial couple: “Ignorant racists.” [He told them to] “Eat it.”

Okay, I scanned just a few of the tweets, and it was the usual garden variety vitriol from bottom-of-the-food-chain white racists, but what made me just move on with a quickness were the ones from blacks. Some of them hotly stated [Read more…]

This couple is from a video LINK I received yesterday from CH, who happens to be a white man, like your granddad: Darren–who you call Babu. LOL! Btw: you call me Nnenna.

CH usually sends me video links to ads and music videos that show black women with white men in what would be considered non-stereotypical settings. These links assist my advocacy to normalize black American women taking advantage of all their options in every area of life, including their romantic options with men of various races, ethnicities, religions, nationalities, etc. throughout the global village.

KWELI TV–YAY! The Valentine Day Ritual, Another BWIR Normalizing Video

Thanks, Lorraine for the link to this video about chocolates that also normalizes BWIR relationships. It certainly made me think about Valentine’s Day and Darren in the same thought because–he’s such a chocolate FIEND! I always get him his favorite Godiva chocolates 3 times each year, starting with Valentine’s Day. I also get them for his birthday and for a holiday gift in December. Each time I give them to him, his whiskey brown eyes light up and dance. He loves Godiva chocolates ONLY, so nothing else will suffice. Sorry, Cadbury. Lol

Happy Holidays! 2 ADs Normalizing BWIR, Note from Reader, Podcast

Thanks RG for the Macy’s AD pic for Calvin Klein fragrance normalizing a bw with a beau from the global village. I wonder which demographic(s) was the target for this ad. I know that all marketing campaigns have a major target group in mind.

Thanks CH for this Youtube VIDEO AD for a sleek FORD SUV. Hmm, I wonder whether this AD was pitched more at men than women? And I wonder whether it was pitched more at the wm demographic. I don’t believe it’s pitched at bw because it shows too many close-up shots of the woman. Instead, most hetero women would want to see LOTS of close-ups of HIM–not her! I’m just saying. LOL

It’s telling that you, a wm, found the video. LOL!
